Experienced international defender can be an excellent summer signing for Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield will be looking for new signings in the summer, and over the coming weeks will be looking to secure their Premier League survival so they can begin planning for the summer and next year.

The Terriers have, in the main, had a debut Premier Leagues season to be proud of, and manager David Wagner will be hoping to make some excellent new signings come the summer months.

Our landlord though has been thinking about experienced heads rather than big money signings, and one player he thinks the club could swoop for is Chelsea and England defender Gary Cahill, who has been out of favour for the Blues for much of this season.

Cahill has been a class act at the Bridge for nigh on a decade now, and has the experience and knowhow needed to be a vital cog in the Terriers mounting another fight against survival.

Cahill is too good to be sitting on the bench like he has been at Chelsea for much of the season, and he would bring an element of class and top class professionalism to the Yorkshire club.

Cahill would bring a steady head to the back four at Huddersfield, and David Wagner would no doubt be delighted at signing such a seasoned Premier League performer.

Huddersfield fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
