The Aston Villa fans are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports that an experienced Premier League manager wants the top job at Villa Park.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that David Moyes wants the Villa job should they decide to part company with Remi Garde.
Even though Villa are all but consigned to relegation to the Championship the former Everton and Manchester United boss is up for the challenge of helping the club make an instant Premier League return.
Moyes was originally offered the top job at Villa Park last summer before the appointment of Tim Sherwood, but turned the job down due to his commitment to the job at Real Socieadad at the time.
But six months after his sacking by the La Liga side it appears that Moyes is ready to make his return to club management.
Our landlord in The Tavern believes that if the club do get Moyes he would be a coup of an appointment for the Premier League strugglers.
As for the Villa fans they would be delighted to see Moyes appointed as they have always admired the way his sides play with attacking flair and 110% commitment.
Will Moyes get Villa back to their best? Let us know in the comments below!
