West Ham United will be hoping they can secure a couple of good results in their final few games of the season and fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking at seeing who they can bring in during the summer.
One name that will not be returning to the London Stadium is Joe Hart, according to a report by the Mirror. The media outlet claims the Hammers have decided against signing him permanently and will look to find a new goalkeeper in the transfer market. The 31-year-old will return to Premier League Champions Manchester City, although Pep Guardiola will look to offload him as soon as possible with Ederson and Claudio Bravo already at the Etihad Stadium.
The England shot-stopper has had a tumultuous time at the Irons, having made costly mistakes during his season-long loan deal which has seen him be dropped out of the team at times. Those performances have also left his place as number one for the Three Lions at the World Cup in doubt, although he is expected to be on the plane to Russia in June.
David Moyes had earlier revealed that a decision regarding Hart’s – and Adrian’s – futures were still up for discussion, however, it appears that he will now be drawing up a shortlist of who he wants to bring to the London Stadium for next season.
The locals in the Tavern will be delighted with the news that Hart will be returning to City at the end of the campaign, with many believing his errors are what has caused them to be fighting against relegation this season.
