‘Fantastic news’ – Chelsea fans on Twitter delighted with manager reports

Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are in dreamland after seeing rumours linking club legend and all time top goalscorer, Frank Lampard, to the Chelsea manager’s job. Lampard is usually one of the first names that springs to mind when anyone mentions Chelsea football club and for good reason. The classy midfielder scored 211 goals and registered 160 assists for the Blues in 648 appearances.

Despite his playing days being over after spells with Manchester City and New York City since leaving Chelsea, Super Frankie Lampard is still a name on the lips of Chelsea fans as the 39-year-old has been touted as a future manager of the club that signed him back in July 2001.

Lampard is set to be taking his coaching badges and will reportedly have a UEFA Pro license by the end of the summer, meaning he’ll be eligible to manage a football club competing in European competition. Lampard’s uncle, Harry Redknapp, will no doubt play a key role in helping his nephew get started in management having taken charge of over 800 games in his long managerial career.

When Lampard does eventually take the reigns of a professional club, whether it’s Chelsea or not, fans everywhere are sure he’ll be a roaring success given his professionalism and knowledge of the game which he’s developed from his playing days.
