The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing the future of 37-year-old club legend Steven Gerrard. The Liverpool man has been approached by Rangers for the manager’s job at Ibrox as they look for a replacement for Pedro Caixinha who was sacked in October. In his press conference today, Jurgen Klopp stated that the club would give Gerrard their full support in whatever he chooses.

Steven Gerrard turned his back on his playing days in 2016 after a short spell with LA Galaxy. The Liverpool man born and bred will forever be remembered as an Anfield legend and stands alongside Kenny Dalglish as one of the two best players to ever don the Liver bird on his chest. Currently managing Liverpool’s U18 side, Gerrard now has a huge decision to make.
The former England captain could make the high-risk move to Ibrox where he’ll be up against his former Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers, in the Old Firm derby. If the 37-year-old does decide that Glasgow is the right place for him it could make or break his managerial reputation so early in his career. A negative move that end with him getting the boot could prevent him from going on and achieving bigger things in the game as a manager, whilst a successful spell could catapult him onto the world stage.

The Rangers job is poor he deserves better off managing the youth team than a revolving door.

Personally better offers will come to Stevie G but continue with the u18s for the experience. Taking up rangers post now would be too soon.
