The Daily Star is reporting that David Moyes is happy with life in Spain at Real Sociedad and does not plan to leave the club, even though his side has not had the best of starts to the current campaign.
Rumours have been circulating over the last week that time is running out for current Villa boss Tim Sherwood, who has seen his side win just once in their opening nine games of the Premier League season so far.
But Moyes was speaking to the press and distanced himself from a move back to England saying:
“During the pre-season I had contact with clubs, which is normal, because they know my statistics, but my intention is to stay here at La Real, I’m not thinking about anything else.”
“You saw the hard work and determination the players put in, how they fought (in the 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid). I’m very happy with that and I want to stay, there are no doubts in my mind.”
The majority of the Aston Villa fans in The Transfer Tavern want stability for their club and would like Tim Sherwood to be given until at least Christmas before any decision is made on his future.
Villa fans, would Moyes over Sherwood be a good move? Let us know in the comments below!
