Tottenham Hotspur have had a quiet transfer window once again this summer as they prepare for their upcoming Premier League campaign.
Spurs will want to make sure they remain competitive on all fronts this season as they look to finally end their drought of silverware, however, Mauricio Pochettino knows he will need to make additions to his squad.
However, the Argentine is also considering moving on some of the players he does not feel add any further quality to the side, although reports are suggesting that one man that could be offloaded is happy to stay with the White Hart Lane outfit and fight for his place.
“I feel very good here and I would like to help the team more than last year and try to score more goals,” he told ESPN.
“It’s not easy [for me] but I know the situation. Harry (Kane) is an unbelievable player and he wants to play and always score two or three. It’s good for the team and I only have to be ready when my opportunity comes.”
Llorente would find it extremely difficult to break into the first-team should Kane being playing and a move could be best for him instead.
Should the Spain international want to play more regular football, he would be better off leaving White Hart Lane as the England man is in the form of his life and has been Spurs’ best player for the past couple of seasons.
The comments will please Pochettino, however, with the player reportedly one for sale, the Argentine manager will be hoping to cash-in on him sooner rather than later.
