Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are discussing the best course of action for their January transfer window, after a poor start to the season, and have been alerted to reports concerning their striker.
The Daily Mirror states that Italian giants Fiorentina are keen to secure Chelsea misfit Radamel Falcao, who could see his loan spell with the Blues ended prematurely after an unimpressive start to the campaign.
Falcao has struggled in the Premier League, scoring just four goals during his year with Manchester United and finding the net just once since signing a similar deal with Chelsea.
His loss of form in front of goal has coincided with an awful start to the season for the Blues, who languish in the bottom half of the table after taking just 11 points from a possible 27 in the league.
Despite Falcao’s poor record in England, the Colombian striker has starred previously for Porto and Atletico Madrid, whilst also having a decent record at Monaco before his injury problems started.
Our Chelsea regulars are joking that Falcao is collecting numerous stamps on his passport, pointing out that if he does move to Italy then the one big league he won’t have featured in is the Bundesliga- but there’s still time for that to happen.
Chelsea fans, should you end Falcao’s loan spell in January? Let us know in the comments below!
