Five midfield enforcers to break up attacks for Arsenal in January

It’s been a difficult season for Arsenal, and Tuesday nights defeat to League Two Bradford City in the Capital One Cup has had us speculating in the Football Transfer Tavern just who Arsene Wenger may bring in to try and improve the performances in January.

Whilst missing Robin van Persie is obvious enough, the summer sale of Alex Song has also seemed to hit them hard, with a like-for-like replacement still not bought in and Mikel Arteta having to take up the position of deep-lying midfielder.
