The Daily Star suggests that Manchester United boss David Moyes is looking at five midfielders ahead of the transfer deadline as he looks to strengthen his side.
One of those is Roma ace Daniele De Rossi who the former Everton boss wants on a season-long loan deal although there have been conflicting reports about his availability.
This could see United instead looking at Borussia Dortmund midfield sensation Ilkay Gundogan (pictured) with the possibility of a swap deal being raised including Shinji Kagawa who had been linked back with a move to the Bundesliga.
Other options include Real Madrid’s Croatian midfielder Luka Modric who would welcome a move move to the Premier League following the expected arrival of Gareth Bale at the Bernabeu. Although watching the early kick off between Madrid and Athletic Bilbao, one punter points out that the former Spurs man started for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
Moyes is also again considering Real Madrid’s former Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric, who could be released with Gareth Bale finally arriving at the Bernabeu from Spurs.
Then there is Athletic Bilbao’s Ander Herrera, 24, who the Basque club claim will only be allowed to leave for his £30 million buy-out clause.
Interestingly the paper also suggests a move for Bilbao’s Ander Herrera could be on the cards and he was left out of the starting line up for today’s game.
While the fifth midfielder Moyes is still lining up is Everton’s Marouane Fellaini who could join United in a double deal from Moyes’ former club.
United supporters realise that they need to sign at least one midfield man before the deadline passes tomorrow and hope that the new Moyes will finish in style with some stunning last minute acquisitions.
