One Swansea fan in the Transfer Tavern earlier said that today’s game was a “must win”, while another described it as “season-defining”.
There is certainly a feeling among Swansea fans that their form has got to pick up sooner rather than later, otherwise they will be consigned to the drop.
They face Stoke City at home today – a team that is lingering comfortably in mid-table.
Swansea are scrapping for their lives on the other hand after disappointing losses against West Ham and Watford.
Today is a huge game for Paul Clement’s side and he has recalled Leon Britton, knowing that he is an experienced head.
Lukas Fabianski starts in goal, as expected, behind a defence consisting of Kyle Naughton, Federico Fernandez, Alfie Mawson and Stephen Kingsley.
In central midfield, Swansea have selected Leon Britton, Leroy Fer and Tom Carroll.
Gylfi Sigurdssson is expected to start out wide, with Jordan Ayew on the other flank.
Fernando Llorente retains his starting spot in the number 9 role.
The majority of Swansea fans on Twitter were not impressed with Clement’s team selection and here are a selection of the best responses after the starting XI was announced.
At least Leon is playing I guess

Please don't put Sigurdsson on the left, in behind Llorente from the start. #SWASTK

Actually excited if it is a diamond with Ayew and Llorente. Pace and strength with Gylfi creating behind them. Hope it's not a 433.

Hoping Borja or Jeffy come in
