Spurs once again had a decent season last time out and star man Harry Kane has made quite the start to the World Cup for England, notching two in the opening game against Tunisia.
Kane, like plenty of his other Spurs teammates, will be hoping manager Mauricio Pochettino can go out and do the business this summer in terms of new signings, and our landlord here in the Tavern is hoping for a similar outcome for the Londoners.
Indeed, he thinks that Spurs can challenge Man City with a few top buys, and one player he thinks could have a big impact with the club is Borussia Dortmund winger Andriy Yarmolenko, who is valued at £20.7m by Transfermarkt.
A capture for the German club after an impressive few years with Dynamo Kiev, the flying Ukrainian winger is missing out this summer due to his country not being in attendance, but he is still a class act.
While Spurs do have a whole host of attacking talent in the midfield areas, they lack any sort of direct wingers like Yarmolenko.
A player with rapid pace, and someone who has the ability to put any defence in Europe on the back foot, he would be a shrewd addition to the Spurs cause if Pochettino can convince Dortmund to part ways with their versatile wing man.
Spurs fans what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
