Over the past year or so, Crystal Palace have really struggled in front of goal with the club's strikers constantly misfiring.

Midfielder Luka Milivojevic, though, has had no problems finding the back of the net, registering on 10 occasions in the Premier League last season, a very good goal return considering his position.

And Serbian scout Goran Milosavljevic believes it could be only a matter of time before the 27-year-old is snapped up by a big club.

The Breakdown

Speaking about Milivojevic, Milosavljevic told Tribal Football: "I [conduct] personal training and I once trained with Luka for three or four months for every day.

"He has many qualities. But I explained to Luka to look at Steven Gerrard. He can do the same but he needs somebody to push him because he must make many sprints at 100 per cent."

While Milosavljevic's comparison of Milivojevic and Gerrard may be quite extreme, the former Olympiacos man certainly has the ability to play in a higher quality team than Crystal Palace.

During the summer, Wilfried Zaha dominated the headlines as speculation linking him with a move away from Selhurst Park refused to go away.

But as well as the the 25-year-old, Milivojevic could also be an attractive proposition for Premier League club's in the future.

The Serbia international would fit into a team such as Everton's nicely, while at Tottenham he could very well be a solid defensive midfield upgrade on the underperforming Eric Dier, especially if he reaches the level Milosavljevic thinks he can get to.

Milivojevic has been a solid addition since arriving at Selhurst Park back in 2017, and it would not be a surprise to see him look for a new challenge in the near future.
