Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara is a cult hero in the Transfer Tavern, so when the punters heard about a new video he’s featured in it quickly spread like wildfire in the bar, even getting our landlord involved!
As part of Carlsberg’s campaign for EURO 2016, and with excitement rising as there’s just two weeks until Roy Hodgson names his 23-man squad for the tournament in France, Chris Kamara went undercover to complete an intriguing social experiment.
Kitted out as an old-man, complete with full prosthetics and a walking stick, ‘Kammy’ went on an adventure on the London underground, finding himself on a packed District Line tube- every commuters nightmare.
For the elderly Kamara though, it was a different sort of experience and the people on the train were shocked to see the pundit tear off his disguise and handing a pair of tickets for England’s opening Euro 2016 game against Russia to those willing to give up their seats.
Kamara himself certainly had a good time, as he said:
“It was great fun to team up with Carlsberg and reward those wonderful people. Sending them to the Euros this summer was just unbelievable. England have a brilliant chance and I’d urge the whole nation to get behind the team.”
