Forget Aguero, Chelsea should break the bank to sign this world class striker

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is still reeling following missing out on number one target Romelu Lukaku, and he will be keen to add another striker or two to his ranks before the end of the transfer window.

The Blues fans here in the Tavern were looking forward to seeing the big Belgian back among the ranks, but must now wait to see who their new number nine will be, with Diego Costa looking certain to leave.

This week has seen Alvaro Morata getting closer to a deal at Stamford Bridge, while Sergio Aguero has also been linked with a move to the Premier League champions.

Our landlord here in the Tavern thinks though you can never have enough top strikers, and even if Chelsea do sign Morata, he thinks that the club should make a move to sign PSG striker Edinson Cavani.

The powerful Uruguayan striker has developed into one of the world’s best forwards since moving to France from Italy. He looks a player who is tailor made for the physical demands of the Premier League, and he could well be an excellent addition.

Cavani offers pace and power in abundance as well as being a lethal finisher. The thought of him and Morata in the same side is quite scary for opposition defences, and Chelsea would surely be favourites again for the title with both players in their squad.

Blues fans, what do you think to this? Would you take Cavani? Let us know in the comments!
