Liverpool fans here in the Tavern will be looking forward to the summer transfer window, as the Reds may be able to challenge for the Premier League title if they bolster their squad.
Jurgen Klopp will be desperate to secure his first piece of silverware since joining the club back in 2015. And, with the Champions League final right around the corner, perhaps he will be able to secure the most prestigious trophy of them all against defending world champions Real Madrid.
Although, it appears as if the German is already looking to bring in some reinforcements, as it’s believed that Gianluigi Buffon is considering an offer from Liverpool after announcing he will leave Juventus.
However, the Reds should forget about the Italian by moving for another goalkeeper this summer, as the 40-year-old is coming towards the end of his career, so he may not have much life left in him.
With that in mind, Liverpool should target this goalkeeper instead…
Gianluigi Donnarruma, who is valued at £36 million (by Transfermarkt), has established himself as arguably the most promising young goalkeeper in the whole of world football after breaking onto the scene as a 16-year-old.
However, he looks to be on his way out of the San Siro this summer as a number of clubs are all fighting for his signature.
But, with many of our local Liverpudlians still unsure on whether Loris Karius will be able to ensure consistency next season, perhaps Jurgen Klopp will look to bring a future star to Anfield by signing Donnarumma.
