Throughout the season, there has been a worthy claim for Callum Hudson-Odoi to get more of a chance at Chelsea. That's only been taken to the next level over the last day or two, given his brilliant performance on his full England debut against Montenegro. He put in a fantastic display and linked up brilliantly with Chelsea's Ross Barkley, and that will put him in a good position to earn more minutes going forward.

However, over the last few weeks, there's been another player that has been putting in an even stronger case for more involvement - and that's Olivier Giroud.

Giroud has been playing second-fiddle all season long, firstly to Alvaro Morata and more recently to Gonzalo Higuain, and whilst both of those players have largely been poor, Giroud has often been delivering in the shadows, whenever he's been given a chance.

Specifically for Chelsea, Giroud has impressed in Europe this season, having been Chelsea's first-choice forward for the competition thus far. He's currently the club's top goalscorer in the Europa League, and he bagged a hat trick in their last game against Dynamo Kiev.

Gonzalo Higuain, meanwhile, has continually underperformed in the Premier League this season, having bagged just 3 goals in 7 Premier League appearances.

Chelsea have lacked goals this season, and thus far, their options in pursuit of those goals have fallen short. So why not use Giroud?

He scored yet again for his country against Iceland on Monday, and he's continually proving that he's too good to sit on the bench every week at Chelsea having scored 10 and provided seven assists in all competitions. Maurizio Sarri must suck up his pride and drop his January signing Gonzalo Higuain - and bring on Giroud in his place.
