Manchester City face the enviable task of finding it difficult to improve their squad this summer, such is the quality contained within the ranks of the Premier League title winners.

Pep Guardiola is the man tasked with doing such a job, and he will find it difficult to make improvements to a squad who dominated last term.

However, there is room for improvement, and one player who might find himself under threat or even moved position, is England man Kyle Walker, who despite impressing, still shows signs of fragility in terms of the defensive side of his game.

One player we think City could sign in place of Walker is German star Joshua Kimmich.

Kimmich is simply a step above Walker in terms of quality, and at just 23, could make the right back slot his own at the Etihad.

Despite not having the best time with Germany over in Russia this summer, Kimmich is still recognised as one of the best in the world in his position, and rightly so.

A classy operator, Kimmich would improve the squad and first team at City no end, and would be a massive signing for the club. Quick, dangerous in attack, and crucially, solid in defence, Kimmich would be a superb addition to a squad already rich with talented players.

City fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
