Forget Sanchez: This influential attacker could take Arsenal’s front line to the next level if he was signed

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are ready for Alexis Sanchez to leave the club. With his contract due to expire in six months, many are hoping for a January sale – with any funds used to bring in a top-tier replacement.

One player that has been linked with a move to the Emirates this week is Malcom, and our landlord thinks that he could be the perfect player to not only replace Alexis, but rather, he thinks that the Brazilian could take the Arsenal attack to the next level in place of the Chilean.

After all, Malcom brings many of the qualities that Sanchez has been renowned for at the Emirates. An offensive player, the Brazilian looks to use fantastic pace and technique to dribble and move past players, and that makes him a real threat going forward. Furthermore, as with most offensive Brazilians, he’s a fantastically skilled player with bags of flair, making him a real nightmare for opposition defenders.

That quality has been reflected by his form on the pitch over the last few years. He enjoyed a breakout campaign in France last term, bagging a stellar 7 goals and 4 assists in the French top flight. He’s already equalled that tally this season, indicating a steady progression for the Brazilian. Sanchez, meanwhile, has managed 7 goals and just 3 assists – meaning that Malcom has been able to keep pace with him this season.

That’s without considering Malcom’s age, too. He’s just 20-years-old, and having already established himself in France, his potential is massive. He’s not the finished article, but he’s proven his influence, quality and potential on the continent – and he’d make Arsenal’s attack even better – agreed?
