Spurs are always a club who are on the lookout for top talent across the world, but they have in general had quite a settled squad over the last few seasons.
The Londoners though will no doubt be on the prowl for new signings as 2018 continues, and with January and the summer still to come, manager Mauricio Pochettino will be looking to add some real quality to his ranks.
However, our landlord thinks Spurs need to only focus their search on action closer to home, and he thinks that one player they should make a move for is current Wolves loanee Diogo Jota, who has been in sensational form for the Championship table toppers this term.
The young flying winger has looked a class above many of the players who compete in England’s second tier, and with him only being on loan with the club, Wolves fans must be getting worried that they may well lose their star man come the summer.
This is where Spurs may come in. Pochettino will be on the lookout for some more attacking talent to supplement the skills of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, and Christian Eriksen in the main, and signing someone like Jota could be a shrewd move.
Bags of pace, a keen eye for goal, and seemingly fearless on the ball, Jota could be the sort of signing who improves Spurs but prevents the club spending massive sums which we are increasingly seeing in the game.
Spurs fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
