For the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern, their attack is the most exciting part of their team. Over the last few years, the Reds have seriously struggled going forward, but under Jurgen Klopp, that area of the pitch has been transformed.
With Roberto Firmino leading the line, and Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah either side of him, there is an argument to suggest that Liverpool’s attack could be the best in the Premier League.
That doesn’t mean that the attacking line is perfect, though. The Reds are playing in Europe’s best competitions against the best teams in the world, and so they need to ensure they have depth, as well as starting quality.
Given those demands, it came as no surprise to hear that, according to the Sun, Liverpool could look to improve their attack this summer, with Jurgen Klopp apparently a big fan of Piotr Zielinski. Currently playing for Napoli, Zielinski is able to play in a few positions including central midfield and further forward in the attack.
However, our landlord isn’t sure that Zielinski offers what Liverpool need. They need someone with more proven quality, and in that vein, he thinks that former Man Utd attacker Memphis Depay – who is now rated at £25.2 million by Transfer Markt – could be a fantastic solution.
