Arsenal Jack Wilshere has found himself shipped out-on loan to fellow Premier League outfit Bournemouth this season but he’s not had the best of times down on the South Coast.
Gunners fans have watched on in the Tavern this season as Wilshere has struggled to make a real impact at the Vitality Stadium, with many of them thinking he could do a job in the current Arsenal side that is struggling horrifically of late.
But they won’t be happy this weekend after Wilshire made some pretty controversial comments during an interview with Sky Sports, suggesting that he’s been perfectly okay with the rise of Arsenal’s south London neighbours this campaign.
Wilshere said: “It hurts me to see Arsenal faltering, I wouldn’t say it hurts me to see Tottenham rise- they’ve always been there and thereabouts.
“It might change this year but it hurts me more to see Arsenal struggling.
“I’ve said before, I have to wait until the end of the season. I’m a Bournemouth player and we’re still not out of trouble. We’ve got to focus on helping Bournemouth. You don’t want people to say you went out on loan and got Bournemouth relegated,” he added.
Wilshere’s long-term future at Arsenal is still slightly unclear and with Arsene Wenger still struggling at the helm of the Emirates, what exactly does the future hold for the England international?
