Forgotten Manchester United ace tipped for Old Trafford reprieve

Wilfried Zaha Manchester United fans may be in for a shock in the Football Transfer Tavern after Neil Warnock believes he can revive one his loan star’s career at Old Trafford.

According to The Mirror, Wilfried Zaha can still become a star in a Manchester United shirt after failing to impress in his first season at the club – only being handed limited opportunities.

The 21-year-old joined from Crystal Palace in January last year for £15 million but returned back on loan at Selhurst Park immediately as part of the deal.

He played a key role in getting Palace promoted into the Premier League but then struggled to secure any meaningful game time under David Moyes.

He only featured in two league games before being shipped out on loan to Cardiff City at the start of the year.

Now he is back at Palace and Eagles boss Warnock said: “He would still like to give it a go at United.

“That is his aim. His attitude has been spot on. “At United, his problem was simply that he did not get enough games.

“Ability and confidence have never been his problem. “We are glad to have a player like him on board.

“You can see when he gets the ball the fans are ignited.”
