Manchester United fans are looking aghast here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they hear that the Manchester Evening News have claimed.
The publication reports that forgotten Red Devils duo Bebe and Anderson could well be be handed another chance at Old Trafford.
Incredulous is not the word for the majority of our punters who make the point that both have simply been dire, with Bebe having last played for the Red Devils in 2011, enduring unsuccessful loan spells at Besiktas and Rio Ave since then.
His form did pick up during his last spell out on loan however with 12 goals in 27 games for Pacos de Ferreira last season.
Anderson spent the last half of last season on loan in Serie A with Fiorentina and funnily enough, they did not take up the option to sign the player permanently.
With only one year left on both Bebe and Anderson’s deals, no one will be coming in to buy either player, so Louis van Gaal is probably just cutting his losses and see if he can get anything out of either of the players during pre-season.
Over a pint, one of our punters notes that we thought that would have been more of a David Moyes move than a van Gaal one!
