Former Chelsea hero to return to Stamford Bridge this summer?

Didier DrogbaThe Daily Mail have made it very clear that Chelsea fans could well have a massive reunion on their hands and punters in the Football Transfer Tavern are loving it.

After leaving Galatasaray, Didier Drogba is considering his next move, and we think that it could well be back to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues and their manager Jose Mourinho have overseen a massive issue with their misfiring forwards this season and it is the single biggest reason they have failed to win a trophy.

Drogba is of course a Blues hero and managed to sign off from his Chelsea career in the best way of all with the winning penalty in the 2012 Champions League Final at the Allianz Arena.

This does lead some of our punters to make the point over a pint and a game of pool that you should never go back, but we think that in this case there could well be an exception.

Not to mention the fact that Chelsea are clearly looking for at least two forwards this summer – and Drogba could be a third who provides the goals in big games, and potentially moves into the coaching side of things after that.

Do you think that Chelsea will try to re-sign Drogba despite the impending arrival of Diego Costa this summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
