Former England manager wants to manage Chelsea

Fabio CapelloChelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are struggling to get to grips with the latest reports as to who might replace their under-fire boss Jose Mourinho.

After losing 3-1 to Liverpool at the weekend, Chelsea now have just 11 points from their opening 11 Premier League fixtures and it seems nigh-impossible for the Blues to achieve a top-four finish; which is certain to lead to Mourinho losing his job.

Speculation is ripe as to when Roman Abramovich could swing the axe on his under-performing boss and now The Sun claim former England manager Fabio Capello wants the position at Stamford Bridge.

Capello’s previous appointment with England led to a lot of excitement in the Transfer Tavern as to what the Three Lions could achieve under the experienced Italian but it ended up being a major disappointment, with England continuing to struggle in the big tournaments.

Chelsea fans at the bar are concerned they could see similar with Capello in West London and aren’t at all convinced he can save them from their current predicament.

Blues fans, would appointing Fabio Capello be sheer madness? Let us know in the comments below!
