The Liverpool Echo believe that new boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring Nuri Sahin back to Anfield, despite the Turkish international being extremely unimpressive during his six month loan spell back in 2012.
Sahin, formerly of Real Madrid, eventually returned to Klopp’s Dortmund- and the German boss remains a huge fan of the experienced 27-year-old.
Six goals in 56 appearances since returning to the Bundesliga represent a decent return for the Turkish international but he is regularly left out of the first-team picture, competing with the likes of Sven Bender, Shinji Kagawa and Ilkay Gundogan for a starting spot.
More regular football could be an option at Anfield but our Liverpool friends are not happy with the reports, as they believe Sahin had his chance to impress and that their Reds side should be chasing more high-profile targets.
Liverpool fans, could Sahin be a success at Anfield under Klopp? Let us know in the comments below!
