Newcastle United fans in The Transfer Tavern are gathered around the jukebox are discussing reports about a managerial change at their club.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that Brendan Rodgers is the bookies favourite to succeed Steve McClaren as manager should owner Mike Ashley decide to swing the axe after the club’s poor start to their league season.
Rodgers was sacked by Liverpool earlier this season following a disappointing campaign last season which saw the club unable to maintain their place in the top four of the Premier League table.
With Newcastle in deep trouble in the relegation spots after a poor start, which has seen the club pick up just two wins from 14 Premier League games so far, it could be time for the club to cut their losses with McClaren.
The Newcastle United fans in Thr Transfer Tavern agree that the team are performing at a low level, but also believe that the problem is not just with the manager, but those who run the club, and are hating seeing their side being turned into a circus.
Newcastle fans, is a new manager whats needed? Do the problems lie elsewhere? Let us know in the comments below!
