Former Liverpool boss set for surprise management return

Rodgers.jpgLiverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have long discussed what Brendan Rodgers’ next job will be, believing he would be snapped up immediately, but they’re surprised by where he could actually end-up.

The Sun state that the Northern Irishman has been offered a staggering tax-free package of £3.5m-a-year, double what he earned at Anfield, if he agrees a switch to Qatar.

Qatar’s most successful club Al-Sadd, based in Doha, are believed to be the side that has launched the lucrative move for Rodgers.

The 42-year-old has been out of a job since being sacked from his role at Liverpool earlier this season but may jump at the chance to manage Al-Sadd, who are captained by Barcelona and Spain legend Xavi Hernandez.

Many at the bar feel that Rodgers’ talents would be wasted in the Middle-East, believing he could do a job for a number of Premier League sides, but admit that they wouldn’t turn down the staggering financial package Rodgers is being offered.

Liverpool fans, does Rodgers deserve a new job? Would you prefer to see him in the Premier League? Let us know in the comments below!
