The Swansea Fans are talking about the tales of the past in the Transfer Tavern today as news has broke that a former manager may return to the club next season.
The former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is considered to be Swansea’s main target and he is the front runner for the job.
Swansea wanted him back after Monk’s departure but he rejected the offer as he wanted to take a break from football. However, he would be interested in the job if it is still available in the summer.
The South Wales Evening Post believes that with Guidolin’s contract running out this season means that Rodgers is all but confirmed as their next manager. Although the paper is quick to confirm that the deal has not been completed.
Rodgers has been having significant interest from all over Europe and their has been no concrete job offer as of yet from any of the clubs, including Swansea.
With Guidolin’s contract officially ending after the Manchester City game it seems that we will find out sooner rather than later on who will be Swansea’s manager next season.
Swansea Fans… Would you welcome Rodgers back? or should the club look at other options?
