FA Cup weekend may have provided some shocks here in the Football Transfer Tavern but one thing we could have predicted was the claim coming from the Sunday Mirror.
The publication seem to think that Cardiff City could well be keen on Manchester United outcast Wilfried Zaha.
The Red Devils ace is odds on favourite to move this winter and a loan deal seems to be on the cards.
In keeping with the romance of the weekend, Cardiff are of course now managed by former Manchester United super sub Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who still negotiates heroic status at Old Trafford.
Zaha promised such big things, yet his development has stalled since his move from Crystal Palace with David Moyes clearly not keen on the player, despite the various struggles the rest of his attacking players have experienced.
Solskjaer is looking to inject some life into his Bluebirds squad and feels that the tricky winger could be the one to do so. The fact that a loan deal would be kind on the purse strings does not hurt either.
One potential issue could well be the fact that Moyes is a good friend of former Cardiff manager Malky Mackay and would not be keen on doing Vincent Tan a favour, especially after the way he treated his pal.
Will Zaha be moving to South Wales on a temporary basis this January? Let us know your thoughts below.
