The owner of the Chinese restaurant which is next door to the Transfer Tavern, can be regularly found helping the landlord drink his single malt whiskey during a weekly lock-in at the bar.
He is excited by the prospect of his native league in China recruiting some of the world’s very best footballers over the coming years, and can’t wait to see who they can lure over there next.
The landlord has poured a drop of cold water on his parade however after news emerged in the Daily Mail that ex-Manchester United and Juventus striker Carlos Tevez has rejected the chance to move to the Far East.
The Boca Juniors striker was offered a staggering £19.5 million per-year to make the move, but has instead opted to stay with his boyhood club.
The Chinese resident isn’t too fussed however and thinks it is only a matter of a couple of years, before all of the top footballers go to China to play their final seasons as a professional.
