Former Real Madrid coach linked with Swansea managerial position

clementtttThe Swansea City fans who are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern are discussing yet another potential new managerial appointment this summer.

The South Wales Evening Post is reporting that the Welsh side are interested in bringing former Real Madrid coach Paul Clement to the club to lead the team next season.

Clement was most recently in charge at Championship side Derby County and was unfortunate to be dismissed earlier this year with the club sitting in 4th position and looking food for a promotion spot come the end of the season, after apprently bezing relieved of his duties for not playing the Derby County way.

With Swansea all but safe in the Premier League this season it appears that the club are set to not offer current manager Francesco Guidolin an extension to his current deal which expires at the end of the current campaign.

Other names have been linked most notably former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers being linked with a return to the Liberty Stadium this summer.

The Swansea fans in The Tavern would welcome the appointment of Clement over Rodgers as they think he is a good young upcoming coach who has something to prove following his dismissal at Derby.
