There is never a dull day here in the Football Transfer Tavern and given the claim in talkSPORT today, that does not look set to change anytime soon. The publication claim that Kevin-Prince Boateng could well be on his way back to the Premier League.
Despite a somewhat unsuccessful stay last time around with Tottenham Hotspur and then something of a mini revival at Portsmouth, the player has been in brilliant form for AC Milan since his move to Italy and was instrumental in the battering of Barcelona at the San Siro – before it all went badly wrong at the Camp Nou of course. Now it seems Roberto Mancini at Manchester City is considering a swoop for the player and the current champions (for a few weeks!) have even made tentative enquiries about landing the Ghanaian international this summer.
AC Milan will not let such a key player leave without a fight however and the club are more than keen to keep hold of KPB who despite entering the final stages of his contract is seen as one of the instrumental players in the team’s rebuild which of course also includes former City bad boy Mario Balotelli and fellow Citizens transfer target Stephen El Shaarawy.
City may be looking to boost their squad in the summer in order to wrestle the title back to their half of Manchester again but it could take a lot of money and indeed persuasion to land Boateng.
Can City land AC Milan’s star man this summer? Rate this rumour below.
