Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern’s smoking area are bracing themselves for a high-profile exit in January, with reports of vast interest in one of their expensive midfielders.
The Daily Express states Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is attracting vast interest across Europe, with Italian trio AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus joined in the pursuit by Gary Neville’s Valencia.
Fellaini has struggled to impress at Old Trafford since following David Moyes to the club in a £30m deal from Everton. This term in particular, he has failed to earn regular game-time in the first-team.
With just three Premier League appearances this season, clubs around Europe are on-alert for the Belgian international’s services and AC Milan have already made a move, though reports of a fee being agreed are premature.
Their city rivals Inter are eying Fellaini, as are Juventus, whilst Roma could also joined the hunt. Neville’s struggling Valencia in Spain are also interested, with Fellaini’s signature likely to fetch at least £15m.
Fans in the bar are concerned that United are not in the position to let talented players go as they struggle in their pursuit of Champions League football and they don’t trust the board to bring in adamant replacements.
United fans, would you let Fellaini leave this month? Let us know in the comments below!
