Crystal Palace supporters in the Transfer Tavern are excited at Frank De Boer’s tenure as Eagles boss.
Rather famously, Frank de Boer is the first foreign manager in Crystal Palace’s history.
Last week, the Dutchman signed his very first player as Palace manager, Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea.
Our resident Palace fans are hopeful that Chelsea’s starlet will be first of many to arrive at Selhurst Park this summer.
Sam Allardyce did incredibly well to ensure that the South London club avoided the drop, now Palace supporters are hopeful that they can secure their Premier League status with greater ease than what they endured last season.
To accomplish this, they must look to sign new players to augment the quality of De Boer’s squad; our landlord believes that Danny Welbeck would be a good start.
His involvement in the Arsenal team was restricted last season due to injury, nonetheless, with the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette and the potential arrival of Thomas Lemar, it seems that Welbeck is no longer considered to be crucial to the Arsenal cause.
Accordingly, our landlord thinks that Frank De Boer should make his move.
Welbeck has amassed considerable experience playing at the highest level, having represented both Manchester United and Arsenal.
He’s won every domestic competition available in England, and his presence would significantly enhance the quality of Palace’s squad. Welbeck provides invaluable versatility, treasured experience and he flaunts a relentless work ethic.
While he may not be the most prolific goalscorer, he would be a terrific acquisition for Palace.
