Here in the Football Transfer Tavern we are more than excited about the prospect thatM’Baye Niang could well be on his way to Chelsea according to Fox Sports.
The player is currently at AC Milan and is making waves in Serie A and Chelsea have taken note. The West London club are currently on the look out for a striker in the summer after finally acknowledging that Fernando Torres is not going to cut the mustard at Stamford Bridge.
Niang is ripping Serie A apart and was on trial at both Arsenal and Everton in the summer and did not quite make the cut. Yet after making 12 appearances for AC Milan this term his stature has grown in Serie A and he has seen his stock rise considerably.
The forward is currently under contract with the Rossoneri until 2018 and given the fact that AC are getting more and more impressed with his performances and attitude it will now take a considerable bid to prize the player away from the San Siro.
Chelsea of course are hoping to obtain a top four finish and should they make the Champions League qualification places this season that will only bring in the revenue for the club but it will also provide a huge lure for players who find themselves on the Blues transfer wishlist.
