French giants line up £35m move for Chelsea ace

Juan Mata

Chelsea fans have been arriving in their droves ahead of today’s early kick off against Norwich City as Jose Mourinho’s side look to keep up the pressure on those at the top of the table.

One interesting question that is being asked by Blues fans is whether Mourinho will start Juan Mata at Carrow Road or leave him out again.

It’s incredible to think that Chelsea’s Player of the Year last term is now regarded in such a low manner by the former Real Madrid boss.

Mirror Football report that Paris Saint-Germain are now ready to move for Spanish sensation Juan Mata in the January transfer window.

The French champions made a late bid to sign the unsettled midfielder on deadline day, but are now willing to make a new offer with president Nasser Al-Khelaifi sanctioning a £35 million move.

Chelsea are currently sixth in the Premier League after an average start to the season with three wins, two draws and one defeat and Blues punters have been left wondering what Mata has does so badly wrong?

Meanwhile, the same report confirms that Mourinho has told the Chelsea old guard that they are all still wanted at Stamford Bridge with the Champions League winning coach telling John Terry, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole they are part of the future.

Mourinho is also looking at Porto centre half Nicolas Otamendi, 25, who has been outlined a possible long-term replacement for Terry and the club could pay around £20 million to land the highly rated defender.

Is it time for Mata to be included in the Chelsea team or should he be made available for sale in January? Let us know your thoughts below.
