talkSPORT have told Manchester City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern that Celtic have made it their priority to tie down John Guidetti on a permanent basis after already impressing during his season-long loan spell.
The Swedish international has hit the ground running in Scotland after banging in ten goals in 11 games and this sizzling form has got Bhoys boss Ronny Deila praying that he can sign him permanently.
Sadly the Norwegian tactician is no closer to agreeing a deal with Premier League champions at present.
Despite there being very little progression in terms of coming to an agreement, Deila has said that talks are still ongoing as they push to seal a deal.
“We are talking with his agent and [it is] still ongoing,” said Deila.
The Swede is out of contract at the Etihad Stadium next summer and is not expected to return but sadly for the Scottish champions, they will face competition for his signature.
French giants Marseille are keeping tabs on the situation and it is reported that the Ligue 1 giants have deployed scouts to watch Guidetti before submitting a bid in January.
