French international turns down summer Chelsea switch

Paul PogbaChelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern will be disappointed to hear that one of Europe’s best midfielders has turned them down.

According to the Daily Express, French international Paul Pogba has rejected the West London club in favour of staying at Juventus.

The 21-year old, who still had two years left on his contract in Turin, has blossomed into one of Serie A’s best players since arriving from Manchester United.

And it was thought that Chelsea were planning to line up a bid worth in excess of £60 million to bring him back to the Premier League.

But Pogba’s agent has revealed that it would be a waste of time for anybody to bid.

“We have decided not to speak of the transfer market with regards to Paul until after the World Cup,” Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola said.

“But I can calmly say that his future will still be at Juventus, where he feels very happy.”
