Metro have some rather interesting news for Chelsea fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern and we cannot say it is not entirely expected.
The Blues are evidently closing in on a move for Saint-Etienne’s Kurt Zouma who our punters note recall we were talking about just the other day here at the bar.
We have already gone over the fact that the player is one of the best in Europe for his age group and the fact that Chelsea have been tracking him for the past 18 months now.
Our landlord notes over pouring his latest round of pints that the club would do well to secure the young player, who has been on the radar of a host of clubs, not just in the Premier League but also in the whole of Europe.
Zouma is already showing the potential that could make him a future great and some of our regulars in the tavern note that Chelsea seem to be pushing to improve their youhtful ranks and the fact that Jose Mourinho wants to develop a side for the future above all else.
Zouma does seem to be set on a move to England and Chelsea are of course the club he is mooted to be joining. As our punters note, quotes can be very telling and we certainly have some of those.
“Some big clubs are interested in signing Kurt,” the player’s agent claimed.
“There are some talks with teams from Italy, France and especially England.”
Will Kurt Zouma be following Nemanja Matic to Chelsea this January? Let us know your thoughts below.
