The Mirror has reported that Harry Redknapp, former Tottenham manager, is warning fans of the departure regarding 26 year old Luka Modric as he anticipates the Croatian to leave White Hart lane in time for the new season.
Redknapp blasted the Chairman as he accused Levy for saying that Modric would be able to leave if Real Madrid came in for him. He is also that said that if this was to happen, Levy stated “I won’t stand in your way.”
Obviously the bitter ex-gaffer is still upset with Spurs for sacking him, despite having one year remaining of his contract. But, after a dip in form for two consecutive seasons by February till the end of the campaign, Spurs managed to miss out on Champions League twice.
Redknapp was sacked as Tottenham manager in June and is still trying to cause trouble for his former club, as he aims to pressure them into selling their most prized asset and record signing.
Also, The Mirror have reported that Leandro Damiao is the subject of an £11 million bid from Spurs, as they aim to lure the Brazilian from his homeclub of Internacional to White Hart Lane.
Despite the President of Internacional telling the newspaper that they were the only club to bid for the striker, he told Terra that they had not bid.
But, he has stated “He is an Internacional player, but we are ready for what may happen.” So whilst it is obvious that Internacional are open to selling their striker, they must meet the price set by the club.
Internacional also sold Oscar to Chelsea earlier in this window and hope to rebuild their squad but have previously rejected other offers for Leandro Damiao from Tottenham, as well as other unnamed clubs too.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
