Gallas as we all know, is done. Love it or hate it, it signifies a statement of intent to get Spurs in what I would see as a fit shape to do the business in Europe.
What we do not all know at this stage is that the televised bust up between Joe Jordan and Robbie Keane was part of an ongoing niggle between Keane and anyone else at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club that attempted to stop him waltzing back from Anfield to where he believes he ought to be.
An insider told me this evening, ‘Keane has well and truly burned bridges now. I’m not sure he even understands how bad it is at Spurs for him now.’
When I asked about Harry Redknapp’s belief in Keane… ‘Mate, what you saw on the pitch was a continuation of a conversation that was going around in circles with the boss. He couldn’t resolve things was one thing, but to carry on like that on TV just made everyone depressed – we’re supposed to be Champions League and then there’s all this,it’s bollocks, he’s bollocks.’
So what’s the next step? The next step is a confirmed £14M offer for Fabiano. If it doesn’t go mammary glands up, it’ll be done in days. Hopefully before Wednesday…
In Levy we trust. As do we the source.
Once a legend, now a man with Celtic and West Ham pecking at his sorry remains…
