From Italy: West Ham hit stumbling block in negotiations over potential €48million deal

West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking forward to how Manuel Pellegrini can take the Hammers to the next level and will be excited by the calibre of the players the club have been linked with already this summer.

One name that has been linked with a move to the London Stadium has been Felipe Anderson, however, it seems that a deal has been hard to conclude with SS Lazio. According to Citta Celeste, the Serie A outfit still want 48 million euros for the Brazilian having refused the Hammers first offer of 35m euros.

It is understood that the 25-year-old is keen on a move to join Pellegrini at West Ham, having already agreed to terms to a deal, however, it appears the transfer fee is proving to be a stumbling block.

Landlord’s Verdict

The West Ham fans in the Tavern will be delighted if the side are able to bring a player of the Brazil international’s quality to the London Stadium as they look to begin the new era under Pellegrini.

The locals in the bar will want the side to try and get a deal done with the Italian side and will hope the two clubs can come to an agreement in the near future.

With electric pace, flair and creativity to bring to the table, it’s easy to sympathise with the views of the West Ham supporters who are desperate to see Anderson arrive in East London.
