With two days left before the transfer window slams shut, Harry Redknapp is looking to strengthen his squad for his Premiership and UEFA Champions League campaign.
The England international has reportedly rejected a new four-year deal with the Midlands club and Harry Redknapp is expected to make a move for Young shortly, despite Villa insisting that the winger is not for sale.
The news of this potential deal is certain to further infuriate Villa fans who have had to witness their best players being cherry picked by bigger clubs over the last couple of seasons. Things have been going downhill for Villa since the departure of Martin O’Neill and following their early exit from the Europa League a move to Tottenham would seem like an increasingly attractive option for Young
The inclusion of Robbie Keane as a part exchange in the deal could serve to soften the blow slightly for Villa, though the loss of Young would be yet another dent in their diminishing prospects for the season.
