The Fulham fans who are gathered around the jukebox in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports that one of their strikers has been offered a new deal.
Get West London is reporting that the Championship club have offered prolific forward Moussa Dembele a new deal and are still very much hoping that the striker who scored 17 times for them last season will remain at Craven Cottage.
Earlier reports suggested that Dembele was set to make the move to Turkey with Galatasaray this summer after they offered a reported £27,000 a week to the striker but it appears those reports are wide of the mark.
Moves to London rivals Chelsea and Spurs have also been mooted as a potential possibility for the former Paris Saint-Germain trainee after a wonderful season in the second tier.
Cottagers chief Slavisa Jokanovic has urged the youngster to remain in West London for the good of his career and is confident that he will learn more with Fulham than if he moves on anywhere else this summer.
However should Dembele make the move to Galatasaray the English club would not be eligible to the £4 million compensation they would get from another English club under the current rules.
Will Fulham challenge for the playoffs next season?
