Fulham are involved in a three way chase for Icelandic centre back Solvi Geir Ottesen according to the Daily Mail but face still change from Dutch side FC Twente – managed by former England boss Steve McLaren – and Premiership rivals Sunderland.
Ottesen plays his football in Denmark for SonderjyskE and the 25 year old has previously had stints in his homeland Iceland and in Sweden for Djurgardens.
The 6’2” defender is contracted to the Danish club until 2011 but interest has been high in him so far this season with a move to Celtic rumoured back in the summer and the current chase thought to be in full flow for a player who can double as a defensive midfielder if need be.
Scouting reports on the player are generally good with IMScouting describing him as
“A strong defender who is good in the air and intelligent”
