Fulham’s potential signings have been bought to our attention here in the Football Transfer Tavern over the last couple of days, although sources at Sky Sports have reported that one player may be about to swap Craven Cottage for the Bundesliga.
20-year-old midfielder Pajtim Kasami is the man in question, with a loan move to Wolfsburg until to the end of the season being mentioned.
The Macedonian-born Switzerland Under-21 midfielder is looking to leave the Cottagers having only featured three times this season for Martin Jol’s side.
Kasami has also been attracting attention from Italy, although it appears a switch to the Volkswagen Arena is most likely, providing Wolfsburg can convince Martin Jol he will be receiving regular game time.
The Fulham boss said: “Last time I thought it was better for him to stay here because I was not 100 per cent convinced he would play at another club.
“If you have players like Alex Smith who go on loan and never play, what is the purpose?
“First there must be a club who will promise me to play them. Then we will think about it.”
Kasami arrived from Italian football and Palermo in 2011 but he hasn’t been able to consistently force himself into the West London side. The midfielder featured as an unused substitute on 16 occassions in the Premier League last term also, perhaps revealing his desire for a loan move away.
