Fulham will be looking to get their season off to a good start next weekend as they return to the top flight after a three year hiatus.

A summer of big spending has given manager Slavisa Jokanovic every chance of keeping the Cottagers in the top flight and possibly more, and we here a the Transfer Tavern are excited to see how the season pans out for the Craven Cottage club.

However, we also believe a bit more firepower might be needed despite the addition of Aleksandar Mitrovic, and one man we think would be a superb signing, is England forward Danny Welbeck.

The England international might not always be everyone's cup of tea, but he has the talent and Premier League experience to make a real impact for a club like Fulham on their return to the top flight.

Welbeck is quick, good in front of goal, and has a winning mentality engrained in him from his time with Manchester United and now Arsenal.

For Fulham to stay up, they are going to have to bang the goals in, and Welbeck would appear to fit in nicely alongisde the current crop of attacking talent at the Cottage.

Fulham fans, what do you reckon? Would Welbeck fit in at the Cottage? Let us know in the comments!
