Fulham enjoyed an excellent summer transfer window so far.
The Cottagers have strengthened significantly during the transfer period as they look to retain their Premier League status next year. Staying up will be harder than ever due to the talent available to the newly promoted sides as well as the money on offer to the clubs who avoided relegation last year. However, Fulham have blown many of them out of the water with their business.
Slavisa Jokanovic completed a £27m deal for Ivorian midfielder Jean Michael Seri who had attracted interest from both Arsenal and Chelsea. They also landed former Chelsea winger, Andre Schurrle, on a loan deal from Borussia Dortmund. Fulham look well equipped to stay up but must hijack Wolves’ move for Middlesbrough winger – Adama Traore.
Valued at £7.2m by Transfermarkt, Wolves want to activate the £18m release clause in his contract at Boro. The former Barcelona man enjoyed his best season to date last season, scoring five and registering ten assists in the Championship. Traore was a nightmare to deal with, using his blistering pace and excellent dribbling ability.
The Spaniard averaged seven dribbles per game last season – more than any other player in the Championship or the Premier League. Still only 22-years-old, the winger will continue to improve and needs to be given a chance to shine in the Premier League.
Allowing Wolves to land his services would be a big mistake as Traore could be a key player at Craven Cottage.
